LOGO Information For Students and Parents

LOGO is a programming language that is designed for children. It is based upon the use of very simple commands which move a "turtle" on the screen; this turtle moves in the direction and for the distance that the student specifies.

This is just the beginning! From here, students manipulate the turtle to leave a trail as he moves, and that is how interesting and complicated patterns begin to emerge.
LOGO teaches logical thinking, understanding of geometric shapes and relationships, and develops the skill of creating and following instructions.
