Word Processing - Microsoft Word

Don't worry about this question. People use this expression all the time and are not sure what it means. Word processing has many components. One is the initial entering of text. Next is the ability to save that text for future use. Third is the ability to edit the text. For example, you may create a standard letter that you would send to all of your clients. The only thing that you need to change is the send to at the top. Another feature of word processing is the ability to format text, combine documents, and create publications. All of these features come under the general category of Word Processing. Word processors are what you would normally use to create letters, memos, faxes, manuals - documents that are more text-heavy than graphic-heavy. Here we will be discussing Microsoft Word.
