A PODCAST is a RECORDING - a digital media file - that can be downloaded and played on your computer, iPod, or iPad.
The most common are recorded radio shows and audio books.
The podcast is downloaded to your computer or other device, and you can watch or listen whenever you want. You can also produce a podcast. Click here to learn how. Think of producing your own radio show, or recording lessons for your students to view or listen to whenever they want. You just need your computer, a microphone, and the internet. Many people think that they need an iPod to listen to a podcast. Not so! Any MP3 player will do it, so, you can also listen to a podcast while you are sitting at your computer. |
