Brush Knee


This move begins in Cat Stance on the right side.
Right palm is near right side of throat, facing foward/inward.
Left fingertips are touching right wrist.
  1. Left foot - steps with heel to 10:00. Weight is still in the right leg.
  2. Weight sinks a bit - left toes come down to floor. Weight is still in the right leg.
  3. Begin to shift weight from right to left.
    As you shift weight, turn body toward 12:00, toes turning slightly toward 1:00.
  4. Arms begin to move as weight is shifting and body is turning:
    Left arm sweeps down past body - "brushes knee" and passes knee until it is just past left thigh
  5. Right palm moves past throat.
  6. Note: The completed Brush Knee is with the foward arm outside of the same leg and the other hand just past the throat on the same side as the forward arm.
  7. Keep turning body, hands in the completed position, until the body is facing 10:00.

  8. Left arm turns upward, left arm slightly downward
  9. Left arm and right foot come together toward the body.
    Left arm circling until the wrist rests on the right fingertips.
    Right foot finishes in Cat Stance on left side.

  10. Right foot - steps with heel to 2:00. Weight is still in the left leg.
  11. Weight sinks a bit - right toes come down to floor. Weight is still in the left leg.
  12. Begin to shift weight from left to right.
    As you shift weight, turn body toward 12:00.
  13. Arms begin to move as weight is shifting and body is turning:
    Right arm sweeps down past body - "brushes knee" and passes knee until it is just past right thigh
  14. Left palm moves past throat.
  15. Note: The completed Brush Knee is with the foward arm outside of the same leg and the other hand just past the throat on the same side as the forward arm.
  16. Keep turning body, hands in the completed position, until the body is facing 2:00.

  17. Right arm turns upward, left arm slightly downward
  18. Right arm and left foot come together toward the body.

    Left foot finishes in Cat Stance on right side.

  19. Left foot - steps with heel to 10:00. Weight is still in the right leg.
  20. Weight sinks a bit - left toes come down to floor. Weight is still in the right leg.
  21. Begin to shift weight from right to left.
    As you shift weight, turn body toward 12:00.
  22. Arms begin to move as weight is shifting and body is turning:
    Left arm sweeps down past body - "brushes knee" and passes knee until it is just past left thigh
  23. Right palm moves past throat.
  24. Keep turning body, hands in the completed position, until the body is facing 12:00.
