Diagonal Single Whip

  1. Shift weight to left foot - turn body to left, pivoting on right heel
  2. Right toes turn left - place right foot flat - both feet flat on floor - arms move with body
  3. Weight on left foot, body turns more left, right hand forms hook
  4. Lift left heel - pivot on toes - Shift weight to right foot
  5. Turn right, arms move with body
  6. Left arm sweeps down in front of body & then right, palm upward, left fingertips point at right elbow crease
  7. Right arm stays still - body turns to left - left arm moves with turn of body - drop left elbow - keep palm facing you
  8. 10:00 - Left palm turns outward, step to 10:00 - shift weight to left foot
  9. Right toes approximately 1:00; - left toes, arm, nose, Tan Tien face 10:00



Single Whip

  1. Left arm relaxes down to waist level - right arm lifts to shoulder height - right hand forms hook
  2. Body faces past 10:00
  3. Lift left heel - pivot on toes - Shift weight to right foot
  4. Turn right, arms move with body
  5. Left arm sweeps down in front of body & then right, palm upward, left fingertips point at right elbow crease
  6. Right arm stays still - body turns to left - left arm moves with turn of body - drop left elbow - keep palm facing you
  7. 10:00 - Left palm turns outward, step to 10:00 - shift weight to left foot
  8. Right toes approximately 1:00; - left toes, arm, nose, Tan Tien face 10:00
