Wave Hands Like Clouds

This begins facing 2:00, knees relaxed, feet together, weight in right foot.
Arms are at 3:00, in a Hold the Ball position, but the ball is "stretched out."
The left arm is on the bottom, facing up, & the right arm is on top, facing down.
The left palm is facing the right elbow.
Note the position of your hands!

Cloud - Right to Left
  1. Left foot - step to 9:00, foot flat
  2. Shift weight to left foot
  3. As weight shifts, the 2 hands change position: i.e. left arm pushes down, right arm pushes up.
  4. Note: The hands DO NOT change facing direction!
  5. Tan tien begins to turn from 2:00 to 10:00.
  6. While you turn the arms come with the body.
  7. As your right arm passes your right leg, the leg moves next to the left leg.
    The weight is still in the left leg.
  8. Note: When you are halfway through your turn, your arms are halfway across your body:
    i.e. at your midline, lined up with nose and navel - left hand near throat, right hand near groin.
  9. Your body finishes at 10:00, but your arms continue to 9:00. Your weight is in your left leg.
  10. By the time your arms reach 9:00, they are in a "stretched" Hold the Ball position.
  11. But now, the left hand is on top, facing down, & the right hand is on the bottom, facing up.
Cloud - Left to Right
  1. Shift weight to right leg.
  2. As weight shifts, the 2 hands change position: i.e. right arm pushes down, left arm pushes up.
  3. Note: The hands DO NOT change facing direction!
  4. Tan tien begins to turn from 10:00 to 2:00.
  5. While you turn the arms come with the body.
